Jessica King was born in Fort Gaines, Georgia. She borrowed a neighbor's guitar at the age of twelve, and by the end of the day, she could play Mary Chapin Carpenter's "Come On Come On" CD in its entirety.
At 15, Jessica started performing solo acoustic music around Atlanta. Four years later, she was awarded runner-up in the Lilith Fair Talent Search. Shortly after, Jessica moved to Roanoke, Virginia to go to college. She graduated from Hollins University in 2004, where she discovered the other love of her life, computers. She is now a computer programmer (loves JAVA in particular) and web developer and still works on her music from time to time.
Tequila Mockingbird, Jessica's long awaited debut album, was released in Spring of 2001.
